NITC Meeting
The next meeting of the Nebraska Information Technology Commission will be held in Lincoln on November 27, with additional videoconferencing locations. The agenda will be posted on the NITC website.

A new report on Internet use by parents and teenagers by the Pew Internet and American Life Project found that more parents and teens are online. 

USDA Economic Research Service examines creative class
In The Creative Class:  A Key to Rural Growth, USDA researchers found that the creative class was associated with job growth from 1990 to 2004.  ERS creative class county codes are available.

Internet Innovation Alliance compiles Broadband Fact Book
The Internet Innovation Alliance Broadband Fact Book includes data on Internet basics and access speeds, broadband deployment, consumer and economic benefits of broadband, and the growth in Internet traffic.   

Nebraska Travel Web sites recognized
The 2007 Nebraska Travel Industry awards for outstanding Web sites were awarded to the Village of Boys Town and KAAPA Country-Adventures in Kearney.

Statehouse Observer Online
First published in July 1972, the Statehouse Observer was created to be an important information resource for state employees and to help provide answers to employees’ questions concerning benefit plans, rules and regulations and compensation issues. Starting with the August edition, the Observer is now available online and in a limited print version.
